Weeks Later

Ok so I know it has been forever since I have done anything. I have been so busy with work and the pregnancy that I have not had time. I am now entering my fourth month....right at 16 weeks and finally no more throwing up. YEAH!!!! I lost 9 pounds from being sick but since I am not sick any longer I have managed to gain that back. If you know me then you can tell that I am starting to show. I have a small belly. Mike and I find out the sex of the baby in May so we are very excited. I have been really working hard to eliminate some debts because after the baby is born I would like to take 3 months off and then maybe only go back to work 3 days a week. I have to get some things in order for that to be possible. One of the things I have been doing is evicting the current tenant I have in the rental house I own and getting in a good family. They are now all moved in and I am very excited. i am praying that God blesses them with the finances to actually purchase the home. That would eliminate a huge stress and then I would know that the house my father built me was in good hands finally. Other than that, I have been paying off debts. I am debt free outside of my house and car. Now an act of God can eliminate that car payment for me also. Being that I invested in gap insurance if a tree were to fall and hit the car and total it then I could purchase a much cheaper vehicle.....ha ha ha. I am only teasing. Although it is pretty funny to see how your mind works when you are really pressing toward a goal. Mike and I are also trying to get our house we live in paid off too. We are budgeting and that is a first for my husband. We sold my waverunners and paid off his motorcycle with the money. Slowly but surely we are on the right track. I will keep you posted.

What a month

February turned out to be a good month. Not only did we find out we are having a baby but I have been blessed spirtually. I was able to take some time and go on a ladies retreat in Lexington with some awesome women of God. We talked and the speakers were good but mainly God sent me Ellen. She is a lady from Mt Sterling Kentucky that prayed for me and God sent her for a reason. Have you ever been praying for something very specific and out of nowhere someone comes to you and tells you they have a work from God and it is about what you are asking God for? Well if not it kinda freaks you out but it happened. Then to top it off she said God told her that my name was Judy and she needed to pray for me....I lost it. I really need to hear Gods voice like she does. However, I am very grateful that I listened to the Lord and went on the retreat. See the Devil has made this pregnancy a real downer. He has attacked me with the sick bug so bad that I was bed ridden and really thought I wouldn't make it to the retreat. My God is bigger than the devil and he can't hold me down from gods blessing. I made it and was blessed. Then last night I made it to Ladies Coffee. This group of women are awesome. God is moving in our group and developing bonds that are trememdous. We are seeking God and there are going to be awesome things come out of this. We are reading the Power of a Praying Wife. It is really touching lives and opening up for some very good conversations. I look forward with this time with my new friends.
Ok so on a more personal note......my husband left for Utah on Wednesday of last week and returns home tomorrow. I have always prided myself on being very independent and not needing a man but WOW....I want him home. I have missed him so much and I really do need him. I promise you would have thought I dropped him off at the airport to go and fight in the war as much as I cried. I have been able to talk with him everyday and he is having a blast which in reality makes me mad because i am home sick with the kids. He will owe me though...LOL. I hope that the time apart does our marriage good. We all need a break sometimes.

Until next time,

God Bless

GOD IS GREAT

Ok so it has been quite some time since I actually blogged. I guess with work, church and life I just have been so very busy. Today is Valentine's Day and we are having a huge event at church tonight. I am very excited about it. However, that is not the most exciting news that I have. First let me build up the Glory of God. See my husband and I tried for many months to conceive a child and after visiting a fertility doctor and spending $5000.00 we decided it wasn't God's plan for us to have a baby. Well that is where many Christians are wrong. We need to stop assuming we know God's plan and let Him take control. See all that time I spent praying for God to bless us and all that time I was taking away from His opportunity to do it. I was paying a doctor to do God's work. I see that now. As soon as we stopped and actually gave our situation to God He turned it around. YES I AM PREGNANT...thanks to GOD!!!!!!
I think that covers it.

Until next time,

Bless you.

Busy, busy, busy

Do you ever feel like you are just too busy to relax. I mean do you lay in bed and sit and think about all the things you need to do? I do all the time. Last night was an awesome time for me to relax. It was our second night of coffee with the ladies. We meet every other monday at starbucks and fellowship. I led the devotional last night on accountability and God moved all over that place. This group of women are incredible and it is amazing to see the works God has done in their lives. I can't wait to see where this goes.....

Until Next Time,

It is Friday already?

I am very excited that it is Friday but this week flew by. Mike and I are working on some new things for the business in 08 so this week has been very hectic. I am looking forward to the weekend though. We are having some friends over for some dinner tonight and tomorrow we are doing the marriage seminar at our church. I am looking forward to it. So I think I wold you that Mike and I have been in constant prayer about our calling and we think we are plugged into the right ministry that God would have us in. We also have made a commitment to the church to step up in some other areas which I am very excited about also. I think that 2008 has lots to offer and we are definately getting off to a great start. The church is having a Valentine's Day gathering and as soon as I know more about it I will post a blog just on that. It will be a great oppurtunity for couples to get out and have a blast with childcare provided. I will keep you posted....

Great News

I am so excited to say that after a few months of praying for God to open doors for Mike and I we finally feel like we are headed in the right direction. Mike and I both felt God calling us to ministry in some form or fashion and we have had two people approach us about about plugging into a new ministry that the church is offering. I can't really get into specific until the kinks are worked out but know that I am very excited to see what God is doing and I know that this ministry will be a blessing to so many. Keep reading for more details to come.
On to the next wonderful thing........business has been great at the shop. For those of you that don't know, my husband owns a business called Dr. Vinyl/Touch of Color. We do all interior and exterior repairs on cars. This includes body work, paint, leather repair, dash kits, full details and soooo much more. You can call the shop for more details...447-6422. Ok I will stop advertising now.
So personally with me I am trying to get my butt out of bed to train for the mini. There is a group of ladies that are entering the mini marathon and I am really wanting to do it. However, when that alarm clock goes off I am not feeling the treadmill. I am enjoying the warmth of the bed. So far this week i have managed to work out 1 day. Something tells me that this is not going to advance me towards the goal of the mini. So I need to stop sleeping and get to working out. My goal for next week is four days on the machines. This week the goal was three days and I can still make that happen. Curious to see how this works out since I have a hard time running two miles.....did I mention the mini is 13 miles?
Until next time,

What a Weekend!!!!

I am exhuasted. Mike and I were none stop all weekend. From Friday night date night with some friends of ours to bowling on saturday and church sunday and 3 basketball games. Friday night was lots of fun. Met up with some friends of ours and had dinner with exciting convo. Somewhat risky I must say...you know what I am talking about Mrs. Carter....lol. Then we saw a movie...Mad Money..it was good. Saturday was the usual...errands and then a nap and that night the College and Career group met up for a night of bowling. I made a bet with Mike that if I won I wanted a 5 minute backrub and if he won he got a 5 minute footrub......so here we are at the 10th frame and I am only down by two pins after my first roll....well What had happened was.....a guy jumped out in front of me and cost me the game.....two pins. I had to run his stinky feet for 5 minutes. Ivan you will get it son.
So then comes Sunday. We went to church and I worked the nursery first service. I think we need to shut the nursery down for a week so these snotty kids can get well. I saw too many kids slurping snot and that is gross. Second service I was in church with my girl Christel watching Pastor Don rock the house. It was great. After church we had lunch with some friends......I showed them my Christina moves...because I am a Jeanie in the Bottle. Then that night was ball games. Mike lost...ok they lost bad. Next time guys.

Until Next Time,

God Bless

TGIF

Well it is Friday. I have a list for this weekend. Tonight we are having dinner with some friends of ours and then tomorrow night our group at church is meeting up to go bowling and then Sunday we have church in the morning and then our church has its very own basketball league with six teams so I will be there cheering them on. All in all this weekend should be a lot of fun. Last night we went over to some friends of ours house and hung out for a while. I have to say that my friends husband is an awesome cook. He made burritos and fried rice and salad. It was incredible. I ate two servings. Set the alarm this morning to get up to work out and that didn't happen. I had mentioned maybe training for the mini and running with some of the ladies from church but I may not be doing that. I need to motivate my lazy bottom to get up but cuddling with Mike seems more exciting. It is a lot warmer in bed than in the basement where the exercise equipment is I promise.
Ok so I figured since this is my second blog I would tell you a little more about me...for thsoe of you that don't know since I am the queen of TMI. I am 29 born in October so I will be hitting the big 30 this year. Two girls 8 and 4 so that makes me feel older. I am very outgoing, loud and I think I have a good personality. I love people and talk a lot. I am praying daily for God to lead me into teh direction He would like me to go and i think He may have done that. I will have more on that later I am sure. I single parented for 8 years till I met my husband Mike. He is a wonderful Father. he jumped right in and took control. Some days I am sure he asked himself why did I marry a girl with two kids...but for the most part I hope he is happy with his decision. We are blessed to have every other weekend to have mommy/daddy time. The girls are with their dads and that really helps us. So this weekend we will have that free time...well what is left of the days that is not taken up.
Next week we start the Growing Kids God's Way at church....I am excited. That will be a blessing for Mike and I since we are a blended family. It is a 20 week series so Mike and I are believing that in those 20 weeks God with bless us with FOG (Favor Of God) and bless us with a baby together. The doctors told Mike that he can't have kids but we don't believe that. God is still in the miracle business so we are believing for that. More on that to come later also.
Ok I guess I should get back to work now.
Until next time,

God Bless

I am new at this......

Ok so everyday the highlight for me is getting on my Pastor's blog and reading what is new from his perspective. So being the control freak that I am I thought why not have a spot where I can go and talk about things. Who knows maybe their is someone out there that could get excited about reading my blog...ok that was a stretch. So today is my first day blogging....if that is how you would word it. I guess I will dive in. I am 29 years old and I have a past that could make me millions if I ever wrote a book. Not that I will but I could. Then if you add my husbands life into the mix you would have a best seller. Between the two of us and all of our mistakes we could counsel the world.....at least be able to understand a lot of what people go thru. I will give you the low down on Mike and I. We have both been married in the past and thought why not try again. Ok so that is not how it happened but close. We met online...Yahoo Personals...can't say I recommend it though. We just got lucky. Funny story is a friend of mine told me to get on there and i did. I met Mike and he was the only guy I met off the site. 3 weeks later I proposed...yes I said 3 weeks. 3 months later we ran off to Maui and got married. Most people call that crazy but I call that God. I knew from the moment I met Mike that God had brought us together. Some days I have to remind myself that in order not to kill him but most days are awesome. We have developed such awesome relationships with people at our church so most of our friends know our story and most of them know more about us than they want to. I have been told I am the QUEEN of TMI. However, I have been outdone a time or two. I don't want to put you to sleep so I will not say too much on my first trial at this blogging thing. After all I want you to come back and visit me again....LOL.

Until next time,

God Bless
